Would you pray with us for these students?

“If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.  Whoever believers in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”  John 7:37b-38

Some of you might remember my friend Suzie.  I first shared about her two years ago.  Well, she just returned from a semester in Spain and I sense a real openness and softness that I am not sure I have ever seen.  She came up to me in a crowded spot and campus and gave me a HUGE hug.  As you think of Suzie would you pray for the Gospel to really take root in her life and heart this last semester she has as an undergrad. Would you pray for our follow up coffee date that is going to happen in the next few weeks? Would you pray for the community of CRU to embrace her?

Caitlyn has become a very effective and powerful evangelist on campus over the last few weeks.  At our Midyear Winter Conference over MLK weekend Caitlyn got equipped with skills and mostly a heart change in how to dialogue with friends that are atheists.  She didn’t waste any time. She has been having very deep and spiritually rich dialogue with her friend Kevin, an atheist.  Would you pray that over the course of this semester Kevin would begin to understand that God is just and also loving?

Stacy has been plugging back in with a group of about 12 non-believing friends on campus this semester.  As we met this week, she shared about how excited she was that it seemed like the doors for Gospel conversations with these Northeastern students were beginning to open up.  Please pray for sensitive dialogue between Stacy and her friends.

Anna is junior at BU from a Jewish background that loves the idea of community.  She told me 10 minutes after meeting me that “community” is her buzz -word.  I just smiled, thinking that community is a gateway into the Gospel.  Would you pray as I continue to journey with Anna that she would desire something deeper than just friends but that she would begin to see her need for a Savior.

Our daughter Eliza is proving to be a huge magnet on campus for me.  Similar to how Sydney was as a baby when I bring her around students the Lord seems to really open up the doors for conversations that wouldn’t happen without a sweet baby smiling up at them. Please continue to pray for the four of us as we figure out how to ministry as a family to many of the 250,000 college students in Boston.  We are ever so grateful for how you are part of Suzie’s, Cailtyn’s, Kevin’s, Stacy’s, and Anna’s story.
Loving our Adventurous Lord,

Malisa and Brian
